Curiosity | It is said that this recipe picked up its name in a Neapolitan brothel in the Spanish quarter at the beginning of the XX Century; the manager used to serve this dish to clients as it was fast and simple to prepare. The name Puttanesca (pronounced [puttaˈneska] literally translates in to “prostitute style”. The tomatoes, olives and capers make this sauce a very healthy and tasteful dish. |
