They are wonderful as appetizers or as a side dish for meats or fish. They are surprising in sandwiches!

Curiosity

They can be served fresh in salads or cooked in many different ways; its taste is sweet and due to its peculiar shape and small size, the Borettana onion is suitable for ready to be eaten dishes. The greatest part of this cultivation is in Parma’s countryside (Emilia Romagna)
